Bahamas Island: Honeymoon Destination

Reader’s Question:

I am planning my wedding and have been eyeing Out Islands in the Bahamas as a honeymoon destination. Are there cruises that include these islands? I have not chanced upon a travel agent in Tallahassee, Florida that offers such cruise. If anyone knows about a cruise ship that has this, I will be very grateful. Thanks a lot!

Hi Bridget. Personally, if you ask me, a trip to the Bahamas will not be the same if you are not going to the Out Islands. If there is one thing I do not regret in my life, it would be going to that lovely place. Forget about the wads of green dough I threw away. Forget about the many times I swiped my Visa and Master Card. The trip was worth all the debt I had to pay and more. The weather is perfect. The waters are clear. The atmosphere, very relaxing. If you are an adventurous soul, there are countless activities you may participate in. There’s scuba diving, fishing, sailing, snorkeling, boating, kayaking, golfing, mountain climbing. You can just lie around under the sun or just enjoy nature and all the wonders around you. It could take me forever to just take everything in. I think I have to mention that all these things don’t come cheap. But if you have a pot to piss in, then go ahead, indulge. However, I fear there are no direct cruises to Out. It’s private, so there are only chartered flights, not cruises. If you can’t find an agent in Tallahassee, FL, there’s one in Jacksonville. Have a lovely honeymoon.
